Hush….
Well, last weekend I was lucky enough to go and check out an exhibition from an amazing graffiti/street artist from the UK called Hush. He is formerly a graphic designer who has lived in Europe and Asia, and who’s work is a mix of tagging, screenprinting and generally throwing paint around. He features poetic images of Japanese women, with graffiti/collage style garments that conjure up images of the most lush kimonos and textiles, yet uses the visual language of graffiti and tagging. Paris signs, walls and moustaches?
Yes, its all about Paris again! Still working through my back catalogue of inspiration, I found my collection of crazy walls and street signs of Paris. I am always stopping and peering at slightly grubby walls, down dark alley ways finding treasures consisting of stencils, words, messages, graffiti and sometimes just plain old quirky street signs. Europe, me & a new Diana camera
You might be wondering why I have my happy snaps posted on this website. Well first may I say that I was lucky enough to escape to Europe (Paris & Barcelona) for two weeks towards the end of last year. As expected, it provided much fuel for creativity and inspiration. Hello, welcome to my blog…or should I be saying “Hello World”? I have to say I have really enjoyed my first experience of working with WordPress to rebuild my website.
